Some say he's the 'Master of pens'. Some call him the 'Justin Bieber of drawing'. Mr Bingo’s wonderfully twisted illustrations have lead to a client list that includes The New Yorker, Channel 4, Esquire, The Mighty Boosh, The Guardian and BBC. Last year he decided to drop the clients and become an artist. He continues to personally insult people through his infamous Hate Mail. In 2015 he made a rap video to launch a Kickstarter for a book based on his Hate Mail postcards which became the most successfully funded UK crowdfunded book ever. Mr Bingo d never fails to deliver a hilariously insightful session which delves into how he has crafted his own brand by doing what he loves and letting his mischievous personality guide the way.
CuteCircuit has been pushing the boundaries of fashion for more than 13 years. The worlds first wearable-technology-fashion brand, their fashion work interweaves leading edge fashion with wearable technologies and smart fabrics to create fashions that not only look beautiful, but carry within them magical capabilities and interactive connections years ahead of their time. This is not to say that these visionary designs are merely concepts of the future or are some kind of science fiction, because true to their slogan “future fashion now”, all CuteCircuit designs are fully functional and really exist; no smoke and mirrors.
Architectural jelly sculptures, anatomical whisky tasting sessions, and turning the Selfridges roof into a crystal island boating lake. These are just a few of the projects to come from the minds of celebrated food experimentalists Bompas & Parr. Co-founder Sam Bompas is both charming and charismatic as he tantalises with promises of vast chocolate waterfalls, mountains of jelly and breathable clouds of alcohol that intoxicate through the lungs and eyeballs. Sam spends a large portion of his time researching and developing new ideas and inexorably studying historical influences to inspire new and exciting projects and challenges for the team. In his library at the Bompas & Parr studio, you can find a book or an article on almost any topic from culinary lore to pyrotechnics by way of molecular biology. A talented writer and a true raconteur, Sam is articulate and inventive.
Sam has spoken at events all of the world including at The Royal Academy, ICA and Royal Geographic Society in London, What Design Can do in Amsterdam, as the plenary speaker for Google in Morocco, at MAM in Sao Paulo, Centro de Cultura Digital in Mexico and at company headquarters around the planet including Diageo, Coca-Cola and Unilever.
